Stop the snow and cold temps!

It seems that our larger construction projects are all being slowed down by the frigid days we are having here in NYC. We don't enjoy going to see snow settling on what could otherwise be concrete walls and steel framing. Here is a view of the blanketed future Neurological building addition!

NEUROtic

We're working on final design drawings for our largest building project. We are expanding a 5,000 sf townhouse on the Upper East side to more than 9,000 sf by extending it toward the rear and the sky! The seven story building will be converted to a medical facility primarily occupied by a growing Neurological practice. Copper paneling and large glass openings animate the context of the rear terrace above the fully built out ground floor. Sustainable materials are found throughout.

Higgins Hall - RESTORED.

Originally built in 1869, this Richardsonian Romanesque building houses the School of Architecture. We were commissioned to restore exterior facades, and replace historical windows in order to bring this important building back to its original elegance. "It has been great to help revive the building where I spent so many late nights" says Juan Matiz, who graduated in 94'. Alpine Construction executed carefully restored masonry and stone detailing while installing custom fabricated wood windows imitating historical profiles. Another Landmark we can be proud of in our portfolio.

Valli-Valli Ads

MAD and Valli Valli partnered again with a series of ads for design magazines where new product lines are highlighted. Simplicity and elegance are key in the series of advertisements.

We are very proud of 'handling' this important task for their North American market.

BLUE BATH

A small interiors project allowed us to explore the use of recycled Saratoga glass bottles (the Owners favorite) to invent a new light fixture in his new bath. The blue tint makes for a wonderful night light.
